ABOUT ME
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Alabama. My primary focuses on the experiences of incarcerated persons wtih a particular focus on prison adaptation, prison victimization, the experiences of prisoners in special populations, and the influences of prison experiences on offender reentry.
I received my Ph.D. in Criminal Justice and Criminology from the Georgia State University in 2017, an MS in Criminal Justice at Georgia State University, and a BA in Criminal Justice and Sociology from SUNY Albany. My work has been published in Journal of Interpersonal Violence, Criminal Justice & Behavior, International Journal of Offender Therapy and Comparative Criminology, and Criminal Behaviour and Mental Health. Recognition for this scholarship include funding and awards from the Southern Criminal Justice Association and the Racial Democracy, Crime, and Justice Network. |
